Ian G. Ward, II is an associate with Fischer Redavid. Prior to Fischer Redavid, he worked at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office. While at the Public Defender’s Office he represented the indigent in criminal matters. During his time at the Public Defender’s office, Mr. Ward tried over 20 cases to verdict.
Mr. Ward attended Howard University where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. While at Howard University, Mr. Ward was on United Technologies business team, receiving the honor of being chosen as “Outstanding Team Member” and awarded a scholarship for his work.
Mr. Ward received his Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law. While at St. Thomas, he was a member of the St. Thomas University School of Law Mock Trial Team and was elected as Vice-President of Competition. Mr. Ward also received the CALI Book Award for the highest grade in Trial Advocacy Practice.
While in law school, Mr. Ward clerked at a prestigious personal injury firm in Coral Gables, Florida. He also served as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Andrea Simonton of the Southern District of Florida.
Mr. Ward is an active member of the community. He has proudly served on the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Bar Association’s Executive Board and recently concluded his term as President. Mr. Ward is licensed to practice law in Florida and is a member of The Florida Bar.
