Defending Your Driving Privileges in Hollywood

Upon your DUI arrest, your driver’s license is subject to suspension under the jurisdiction of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV). The police officer will issue you a ticket that you can use as your temporary permit to drive. The ticket is valid for 10 days and you can either request for an administrative hearing with the DHSMV or give up your right to a hearing in exchange for a hardship license.

The DMV hearing is a separate action and less formal proceeding that only concerns your driver’s license. If you wish to go through the DMV hearing, our Hollywood DUI attorney is prepared to represent you throughout the whole process. We can challenge the evidence presented against you, cross-examine witnesses, and help you restore your driving privileges. However, in the event that your license have already been suspended before speaking with us, you can still obtain a driving permit through a hardship license.

There are two types of hardship license:

  • Business Purposes Only– This permit authorizes you to drive to and from work, school, church, doctor or other places necessary in maintaining your livelihood.
  • Employment Purposes Only-This permit is more restricted and can only allow you to drive to and from work or any on-the-job purposes as required by your employer.

Fischer Redavid PLLC recognizes the importance of your driving privileges in your day-to-day routine. When you entrust your DUI case with us, we not only ensure that your driver’s license is protected, we also protect you from facing all the other penalties for DUI. Since 2016, our winning streak has never faltered and we are committed to keeping it that way for years to come.
