Kareem L. Todman is a Senior Litigation Associate at Fischer Redavid, where he concentrates his practice on personal injury, wrongful death, and negligent security claims in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Florida, and Georgia. Mr. Todman believes in holding wrongdoers accountable, and actively works alongside the firm’s founding partners, John Fischer and Jordan Redavid, to ensure that the firm’s clients receive the compensation they deserve and are treated fairly by the insurance company.
Mr. Todman is a native of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and grew up in the Virgin Islands and South Florida. He currently serves on the Judiciary Committee of the Virgin Islands Bar Association, and the Criminal Rules and Traffic Rules Committees of The Florida Bar. Mr. Todman earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. Mr. Todman is also licensed to practice law in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Florida, and Georgia.
Prior to joining Fischer Redavid, Mr. Todman worked at a boutique plaintiff personal injury firm where he litigated claims involving automobile accidents and premises liability in Florida and Georgia. Mr. Todman also practiced criminal law both in the public and private sectors and has tried multiple jury trials to verdict. As a criminal defense attorney, Mr. Todman has served as lead counsel for clients who were charged with serious crimes, including crimes which were punishable by a mandatory life sentence. Due to his dedication and advocacy, Mr. Todman has secured outright dismissals and/or acquittals for crimes including malice murder (first-degree murder), felony murder, and armed robbery.
In 2021, The Florida Bar awarded Mr. Todman with board certification in Criminal Trial Law. Lawyers who achieve board certification are subject to a rigorous examination by The Florida Bar and must also undergo an extensive peer review process. This process involves a thorough assessment and verification of the lawyer’s competence and professionalism by other lawyers and judges. Mr. Todman is regarded by his peers as a zealous advocate for his clients and is a well-prepared litigator.
